Change DNS on ZTE H220N Router

Learn how to configure CleanBrowsing DNS on your ZTE H220N router to enable content filtering for your home network.

Step 1: Access the Router

Log into your device's administrative interface by navigating to 192.168.2.254 or 192.168.0.1 in your web browser. You will need administrator credentials to proceed. The router manual is available at setuprouter.com for additional login guidance.

Step 2: Navigate to DNS Section

From the Status page, locate and select the Network link at the top. In the left sidebar menu, click LAN, then DHCP Server. The interface may appear disabled initially -- uncheck the Enable DHCP Server box to unlock editing capabilities.

Step 3: Update DNS Settings

Enter the CleanBrowsing DNS addresses:

  • DNS Server1: 185.228.168.168
  • DNS Server2: 185.228.169.168

Re-enable the DHCP Server checkbox and click Submit to save changes.

If you have a paid CleanBrowsing account, use your account-specific DNS addresses instead.
