Configure CleanBrowsing DNS on a TP-Link Router

Learn how to change the DNS settings on your TP-Link router to use CleanBrowsing. This guide walks you through the process step by step to enable network-wide content filtering.

Step 1: Access the Router

Open your web browser and navigate to http://tplinklogin.net. If that doesn't work, try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1.

Log in with your administrator credentials.

Step 2: Navigate to Advanced Setup

Click on the Advanced menu button at the top of the page to access advanced router settings.

Step 3: Access Internet Settings

Go to Network > Internet settings, then click the Advanced dropdown menu to reveal additional options including DNS configuration.

Step 4: Configure DNS

Select the "Use the Following DNS Addresses" option. Enter the following CleanBrowsing DNS addresses:

  • Primary DNS: 185.228.168.168
  • Secondary DNS: 185.228.169.168

Click Save to apply the changes.

Note: If you have a paid CleanBrowsing plan, use the DNS IPs provided in your dashboard instead.
