Configure CleanBrowsing DNS on a TP-Link Deco Router

Learn how to change the DNS settings on your TP-Link Deco mesh router using the Deco mobile app. Since the Deco is app-based only, you will not be able to access the router IP directly.

Step 1: Access DNS Settings

Make sure your device is connected to the Deco network. Open the Deco mobile app on your phone or tablet.

  1. Select "More" from the bottom menu
  2. Choose "Advanced"
  3. Select "IPv4"

Step 2: Configure DNS

Navigate to "Internet Connection Type" in WAN settings. Toggle "Obtain DNS Automatically" to OFF to enable manual DNS entry.

Enter the following CleanBrowsing DNS addresses:

  • Primary DNS: 185.228.168.168
  • Secondary DNS: 185.228.169.168

Note: If you have a paid CleanBrowsing plan, use the DNS IPs provided in your dashboard instead.

Step 3: Save Changes

Select "Save" to apply the configuration. Your Deco mesh network will now use CleanBrowsing DNS for all connected devices.
