Change DNS on Spectrum F@ST 5260

Learn how to configure CleanBrowsing DNS on your Spectrum F@ST 5260 router to enable content filtering across your network.

Step 1: Access the Router

Connect to your router's admin panel by entering 192.168.1.1 in your browser. If that does not work, consult our generic router configuration guide. You will need to authenticate using administrator credentials.

Step 2: Navigate to DNS Settings

From the router dashboard, select the Internet Connectivity option. The DNS configuration section appears on the same page -- simply scroll down to locate it.

Step 3: Update DNS Settings

Toggle the DNS option to Manually Specify DNS and select Use these DNS Servers. Enter the CleanBrowsing DNS addresses:

  • Primary DNS: 185.228.168.168
  • Secondary DNS: 185.228.169.168

If you have a paid CleanBrowsing account, use the DNS IPs provided in your account settings instead.

Additionally, configure IPv6 DNS settings using the values from your CleanBrowsing account, or disable IPv6 if preferred.

Click Apply to save all changes.
