Learn how to configure CleanBrowsing DNS on your Spectrum router using the Spectrum App. Recent Spectrum hardware requires using the app instead of the router's IP address directly.
Open the Spectrum App on your device. When you first open the app, your navigation will be on the bottom of the screen. Click on Services to access the router's information.
Note: Recent Spectrum hardware deployments no longer permit changes through the router's IP address directly. Changes must be made via the Spectrum App instead.
Navigate to the Advanced Settings menu option where network modifications are located.
Access the DNS management feature within Advanced Settings. Select Manage DNS and update the settings to use CleanBrowsing DNS:
If you have a paid CleanBrowsing plan, use the DNS IPs provided in your account dashboard instead.
Return to Advanced Settings and locate the restart option to apply the new DNS settings to your router. After the restart, all devices connected to your Spectrum router will use CleanBrowsing DNS.
