Configure CleanBrowsing DNS on a Linksys Router

Learn how to change the DNS settings on your Linksys router to use CleanBrowsing. These generic instructions work for most Linksys router models to enable network-wide content filtering.

Step 1: Access the Router

Open your web browser and navigate to your router's local IP address, typically 192.168.1.1. Log in with your administrator credentials.

Step 2: Locate DNS Settings

Access the "Network Address Server Settings (DHCP)" section within the router dashboard.

Step 3: Enter CleanBrowsing DNS IPs

Input the following CleanBrowsing addresses into the Static DNS fields:

  • DNS 1: 185.228.168.168
  • DNS 2: 185.228.169.168

Note: If you have a paid CleanBrowsing plan, use the DNS IPs provided in your dashboard instead. Different Linksys models may have slightly varying interfaces due to firmware updates.

Step 4: Save Configuration

Click "Save Settings" to apply the changes and activate CleanBrowsing DNS on your network.
