Change DNS on Verizon FiOS Router

Learn how to configure CleanBrowsing DNS on your Verizon FiOS router, including both IPv4 and IPv6 settings for complete filtering coverage.

Step 1: Navigate to Advanced Settings

Log into your Verizon FiOS router admin panel. Click on the Advanced tab (next to Basic) at the top, then click on Network Settings.

Step 2: Modify Network Settings

Access the Network Settings page and scroll down to find the settings section. Select Broadband Connection to modify values that will apply across all networks on your router.

Step 3: Update DNS Values

Configure both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses:

IPv4: Switch to Use the Following IPv4 DNS Addresses and enter:

  • DNS Address 1: 185.228.168.168
  • DNS Address 2: 185.228.169.168

IPv6: Navigate to IPv6 in the left menu, select Use the following IPv6 DNS Server addresses, and enter the appropriate IPv6 addresses from your CleanBrowsing account or from the free filters page.

Important: Make sure to update both IPv4 and IPv6 settings for complete DNS filtering coverage.

Step 4: Save Changes

Click Apply or Save to confirm your DNS configuration changes. All devices connected to your FiOS router will now use CleanBrowsing DNS.
