Configure CleanBrowsing DNS on an ASUS Router

Learn how to change the DNS settings on your ASUS router to use CleanBrowsing. These generic instructions work for most ASUS router models to enable network-wide content filtering.

Step 1: Access the Router

Open your web browser and navigate to your router's local IP address, typically 192.168.1.1. Log in with your administrator credentials.

Step 2: Locate DNS Settings

Go to the Advanced / DHCP Server section in the router dashboard.

Step 3: Update DNS Configuration

In the Advanced/DHCP Connections area, enter the CleanBrowsing DNS addresses in the Primary and Secondary DNS Server fields:

  • Primary DNS: 185.228.168.168
  • Secondary DNS: 185.228.169.168

Note: If you have a paid CleanBrowsing plan, use the DNS IPs provided in your dashboard instead. The GUI layout may vary by router model and firmware version.

Step 4: Save Changes

Click "Apply" to save your configuration and activate CleanBrowsing DNS on your network.
