Learn how to change the DNS settings on your Arris SBG 10 router. This guide covers enabling DNS Override for both IPv4 and IPv6 settings to ensure proper content filtering across your network.
Open a web browser and navigate to http://192.168.0.1. Log in with your administrator credentials. If this address does not work, refer to the generic router guide for alternative default IPs.
Click on the LAN Setup tab from the navigation menu. You will need to configure DNS Override in two separate sections on this page.
Locate the LAN SETTINGS section. Select Enable DNS Override and enter the CleanBrowsing DNS addresses:
185.228.168.168185.228.169.168Note: If you have a paid CleanBrowsing plan, use the DNS IPs provided in your dashboard instead.
On the same page, locate the LAN SETTINGS (IPV6) section. Select Enable DNS Override here as well to ensure IPv6 traffic also uses your configured DNS servers. This prevents devices from bypassing your DNS filtering via IPv6.
Click Apply to save your settings. Test your configuration by visiting badexample.com — you should see a "domain not found" error, confirming the filter is active.
Allow 10-15 minutes for changes to take full effect across your network.
