No, the Clean Browsing service can be easily configured without an app via the network settings on most internet connected devices.

As long as a device has a network settings panel, CleanBrowsing can be configured on the device. That being said, not every device is the same and there are instances where the device will override local DNS changes.

Limiting what happens on a device is the responsibility of the system administrator. CleanBrowsing provides the filtering service, the administrator is responsible for the system hardening.

Yes, all plans allow a user to enter a unique domain into the custom allow or block rules. These domains will bypass any existing filters.

Yes, we provide DNS-over-HTTPS (DOH) and DNS-over-TLS (DOT) stamps on all filters (including the free ones).

We do zero tracking on the free service.

The paid service gives the user the option to collect, and retain, activity data. It also gives the users to disable all tracking. What is tracked is dependent on the users configuration.
